Protection of business reputation of one of the market leaders in supply of equipment for non-destructive testing and technical diagnostics

Our client "MEGA NK" received a claim from "Lasertech" LLC after publishing an article on its website on the Internet with an assessment of one of the plaintiff's devices. The plaintiff perceived the facts stated in the article as discrediting its business reputation and filed claims for recovering damages caused to reputation in the amount of 1 million rubles.

After the court of first instance refused to satisfy the claim in full, "Lazertech" LLC applied to the court of appeal with a request to cancel the decision of the lower-level court and reconsider the case.

The PATENTUS team, headed by Maria Meshcheryakova, has proved during the hearing that the plaintiff did not provide sufficient and reliable evidence of the dissemination of information that was untrue or discrediting its business reputation on the Internet. The court supported our client rejecting the appeal.
