On April 24, the II Legal Business Forum was held in Minsk, the general partners of which traditionally became the Legal Forum of Masters and the law firm GRATA International.
Dmitry Markanov, Managing Partner of BFL | Patentus, moderated the section “Trends in Legal Protection of Intellectual Property 2024-2025”. The experts discussed current judicial practice in cases on limitation of market protection under the regional principle of exhaustion of the exclusive right to a trademark, the situation with unfair competition for trademarks in Belarus, the impact of eco-labels on trademarks, the positions of Rospatent (Federal Service for Intellectual Property, Patents and Trademarks) and regulators regarding “green” brands, LegalTech in protecting the intellectual property, as well as gave practical recommendations for businesses.
