International Trademark Association INTA and PATENTUS roundtable: Marketplaces and rightsholders against counterfeiting

With the rapid growth of e-commerce, there is an increase in the volume of counterfeit products distributed through marketplaces. The fight against counterfeiting must be carried out holistically and only with the interested participation of copyright holders, buyers, marketplaces and the state.

Representatives of LEGO, Nestle' and "United Confectioners" will share their experience in suppressing trademark infringement. Aliexpress and LAMODA marketplaces, in their turn, will tell about the difficulties they encounter when identifying counterfeit products, as well as the measures they take to avoid infringements in the future.

An open dialogue between the parties, based on relevant international practices, will hopefully lead to a number of effective solutions for establishing effective cooperation between marketplaces and rights holders, as well as the exchange of experience across jurisdictions.

You are invited to take part on 16 December from 16:00 to 18:00 (Moscow).

You will also be able to ask questions or comment on speakers' presentations during a live chat at ZOOM.
