The traditional Pravo.ru conference on intellectual property brought together leading experts: inhouse lawyers and consultants. Speakers of the conference told about legislative initiatives and cases of the past year, highlighted important features of legal practice and talked a lot about managing intellectual property in a company.
Dmitry Markanov opened the conference together with representatives of the Federal Antimonopoly Service, Coca-Cola, and Gazprom Neft with a session on trends in IP development using examples of landmark cases of the year. In his presentation Dmitry talked about the doctrine of legitimate expectations regarding Rospatent's approach to trademark registration.
In the session about IP management in a company Dmitry acted as a moderator, supporting the discussion of representatives from Yandex, Power Machines, Viacom, YADRO, and fellow consultants.
