On April 16-17, in Moscow there was held the largest practical forum on intellectual property management and protection in Russia, traditionally organized by the company R-Conf.
On the first day of the forum, Dmitry Markanov, Managing Partner, acted as the moderator of the plenary session “Analysis of the Main Trends in the sphere of the Intellectual Property and Development of the Legislative Framework”. Experts analysed the innovations in intellectual law for 2024-2025, discussed work under sanctions and counter-sanctions, protection of intellectual property of import-substituting companies, judicial acts of the highest instances and issues concerning the perfectibility of the regulatory environment in the cross-border markets.
At the session dedicated to the means of individualization and marketplaces, the Head of the Dispute Resolution Practice Maxim Volkov spoke about recording the violation of the exclusive right to a trademark. Maxim talked more specifically about each of the methods of recording the violation, directed attention to the key points of the procedures. The expert also noted the importance of involving in such procedures a Notary Public, and sometimes a detective.
On the second day of the forum, Tamara Yushkevich, Patent Attorney, chaired a round table and told the audience about registration of the trademarks abroad. Tamara highlighted current problem and the current situation with the possibility of registering marks from Russia in different countries. The audience also had the opportunity to ask questions to the expert and get a short consultation.
